You can fish for Chubs and Trout, or watch Black Bear, Beaver, Moose, Pine martin, Whitetail deer, and all kinds of waterfowl as they visit the lake. Further to the east of the property, the 31.1-mile-long Peshekee River widens out and has beautiful nature scenery along its banks and the water flowing gracefully down the river attracts people from near and far. In the foothills of the Huron Mountains, the copper-hued water of this wilderness river flow past towering pines and tangles with rock cuts, boulders, and gravel beds. The Peshekee is rated a Class I-III rafting and kayaking river by the American Whitewater Association. This river supports many fish species, and is a highly regarded Brook trout river. It is a tributary of Lake Michigamme, and its waters flow via the Michigamme River and the Menominee River to Lake Michigan. There are 5-6 miles of good trail system and 3 enclosed blinds located on this parcel. But if you prefer to hunt, trap and fish off of your private property, you will be able to have walk-in access from the parcel to thousands of acres of adjacent Corporate CFA Lands!
